CISI Yorkshire branch annual dinner

We are pleased to welcome on board Tom Shaw. Tom has been working as a specialist in CGT administration for 7 years. He has 6 years of experience relating to CGiX, the leading software that we specialise in. With his skills, he is an excellent addition to our core team and we look forward to a long working relationship with him.

The software used to access one of our client's networks has been updated recently. The improvement in functionality is very exciting. Short cut keys all work now and you can dip in and out of full screen mode easily, making it work just like being in the actual office.

It's been pretty hectic trying to get everything up and running and all the marketing literature printed before the open night. We did it though, and now have brochures available to send out. If you would like to receive one contact us either through the online form or on the office number.

We are pleased to announce that we have a new independant consultant on our books. Hayley Day has an abundance of experience in our area of expertise after working for many years at Kleinwort Benson. She now works from home in Essex. We look forward to maintaining a long term business relationship with her.

We are now established in our wonderful new offices. The roses in the garden at the front smell lovely and the fire door at the back is good for letting in fresh air.
Still waiting for some of the furniture but we have all the essentials for carrying out our work.

We are moving!
 
With the expansion under way, we are branching out to larger offices. These are located on Victoria Avenue in Harrogate. We will be fully operational from these offices from 1st July 2011.

KA Watson Consultancy - Training Services
 
We are pleased to announce the launch of our new training workshop 'Capital Gains Tax - Fundamentals for Investment Administration'.  Drawing on the knowledge of our highly experienced team of CGT and Investment Administration specialists, we have created a 4 hour workshop which focuses on not only understanding the CGT legislation. but also the practical application of this knowledge in relation to investments and client reporting.
 
With tax year end rapidly approaching the importance of accurate client CGT records comes into focus and the seminar will prove valuable for both new team members, as well as a useful refresher for the more experienced.  Workshops can be hosted on site for groups, alternatively you can book attendance at one of our scheduled sessions.  Contact us now for further information or if you are interested in booking a taster session for a group workshop.
 
                                                                                                                              
 
The open night in our office came and went in a flash. It was a learning curve for us as we had never hosted one before, but I think it is safe to say that we will be hosting another some time soon. We were a little nervous as we waited for the guests to arrive - and even more nervous when we realised turnout was going to be lower than expected. However, those that did turn up were great company and it was really good to be able to highlight to new people what services we can offer. We hope that those that came got a good idea of the quality services we can provide.

The annual dinner hosted by the CISI was, as expected, entertaining, enlightening and well organised. The team did a fantastic job. Lembit Öpik was the guest speaker and actually did rather well. He made the effort to speak to all the guests between courses, gathering information to use in his speech with mixed success, which actually added to the overall effect. He was honest, entertaining and not too long winded... perfect for an after dinner speech.
